Dining at Mariel in Boston was an exceptional experience from start to finish, and I’m happy to give it a well-deserved 5-star rating. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive, welcoming, and professional. The staff made us feel truly valued, and every interaction was warm yet efficient. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that while the vegetarian options on the menu were limited, the chef went above and beyond to customize dishes just for us. It wasn’t just about removing ingredients — they thoughtfully created versions of some of their signature dishes with plant-based alternatives, and the results were absolutely delicious. It’s rare to find a restaurant that shows such flexibility and creativity for vegetarian guests, especially in a high-end setting like this. The wine selection was also excellent. Our server recommended a beautiful bottle that paired wonderfully with the flavors of the meal — rich yet balanced, and clearly chosen with care. Beyond the food and service, the atmosphere at Mariel is stunning. The interior is both stylish and inviting, with warm lighting, elegant design details, and a lively yet intimate vibe. Whether you’re there for a special occasion or just a night out, it feels like a celebration. Overall, Mariel exceeded expectations in every way. Great service, fantastic customized vegetarian options, excellent wine, and an unforgettable ambiance — I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in Boston.

I recently visited Mariel and was thoroughly impressed with the ambiance—it was absolutely magnificent. The atmosphere made for a delightful dining experience. The food overall was really good, although the steak was a bit tough and lacked flavor. Despite this, the service and everything else was exceptional. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was still enjoyable. I’ll definitely consider returning!

We cam here for dinner around 6pm on a Saturday night. I fell In love with the vibe of this restaurant! Small tapas plates for sharing with a lot of flavor! We got about 4 or 5 dishes to share for 3 people. My drink was tart but so good!! I cannot wait to come back and dine here!

My boyfriend and I went bar hopping and stopped at Mariel for a drink. The vibe there was really upbeat and lively, making it a fun spot to take a break. We tried the yucca nuggets, and they were delicious! Definitely something we would order again. We are looking forward to going back soon to try more from their menu.

I visited this restaurant this past Sunday to celebrate my aunt's birthday and Dominican Mother's Day, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The service was exceptional our waiter was friendly, attentive, and patient with our entire group. He recommended us some good food from the menu. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was delicious. no complaints whatsoever. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Mariel offers a truly one-of-a-kind Cuban dining experience, combining bold, inventive flavors with beautifully presented dishes that are both memorable and satisfying. From start to finish, our meal was a flavorful adventure. We began with a variety of appetizers. The mozzarella waffle sticks were melty and so good, especially when paired with the guava lime maple dip—a perfect sweet-savory blend. The hot buñuelos, made with cheese and yuca, were puffy, soft, and fried to golden perfection—addictive and full of flavor. The sweet potato and feta hummus served with Cuban chips was creamy and nice, though not my absolute favorite. The Cuban crunch salad was good but not great, offering a fresh medley of textures nonetheless. Among the mains, the pancakes with cream cheese whip, coffee maple syrup, and guava curd were a revelation—sweet, tangy, and rich, they linger in memory. The sweet corn arepas served with scrambled eggs, avocado, and beans delivered a comforting and balanced bite. The avocado grilled cheese with Gruyère was roasted beautifully in Cuban bread. While the sandwich was great, it had less cheese than expected and lacked a classic cheese pull. Service was quick, warm, and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. If you’re looking for a dining spot that’s vibrant, unique, and full of character, Mariel is a must-visit.

I went here with a group of 6 friends for a dinner. The place is gorgeous. I loved the atmosphere. The food was amazing. It is tapas style and the cocktails were great as well. I would definitely recommend!!
